Ken Kuhlken is a writer and educator from San Diego, known for his short stories and the Hickey family series. He attended San Diego State University and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Besides teaching Creative Writing at several universities, Kuhlken has contributed to Esquire and the San Diego Reader. He also played in a rock and blues band and co-founded Perelandra College with his wife, Pam, where he serves as president and chair of Creative Writing.
