Ken Takewaki is a freelance photographer born in Tokyo on July 30, 1963. He graduated from Nihon University College of Art in 1987 and held his first solo exhibition in 1991. After moving to southern England in 1999, he studied biodynamic farming and worked as an assistant gardener until 2007. Upon returning to Japan, he cultivated vegetables under the brand 'TAKE Bio-veggies' and participated in a farm reconstruction project in Iwate. In 2013, he opened 'the MIDTOKYO gallery' in Roppongi, where he continued his work in agriculture.
