He graduated from Nagasaki Nishi High School and Osaka University of Arts, joining KKB in April 1995. After serving as a news anchor until March 2012, he continued his involvement in sports and worked as a producer for the KAPLI video app. As of April 2024, he has returned to news anchoring as a Monday news and sports anchor for 'News+おやっと!'.
