Kenneth Dancy was an English sea captain known for his role on the tugboat Turmoil during the attempt to tow the stricken vessel Flying Enterprise on January 3, 1952. Alongside Kurt Carlsen, he attempted to establish a tow but was unsuccessful. They faced severe weather conditions and ultimately had to abandon ship via the funnel. While Carlsen received a heroic welcome in New York, Dancy's contributions went unrecognized. He married Nelly van der Tempel in 1956 and later relocated to the Netherlands.
