Kenneth Levenberg (1919–1973) was an American statistician, noted for creating the non-linear least squares fitting algorithm, later refined by Donald Marquardt as the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm. His career included a period at Boeing where he devised mathematical models for the Boeing 737 and concluded at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. He passed away in Hawaii in 1973 and was acknowledged in 'American Men of Science' in 1970.
