He began his music career in the early 1970s, contributing to albums by Delaney & Bonnie and joining Little Feat in 1972, where he played on all their albums until 1979. Gradney has also worked as a session musician for renowned artists like Robert Palmer and Carly Simon and rejoined Little Feat for their reunion in 1988. His career includes collaboration with various musicians and bands throughout the 1990s.
