Kerry Gaye Sanderson, born on December 21, 1950, is a retired Australian public servant and business director. She made history as the first woman to serve as the Governor of Western Australia from October 20, 2014, to May 1, 2018. Prior to her governorship, Sanderson held leadership roles including chief executive officer of Fremantle Ports and Agent-General for Western Australia in the UK and Europe. She also served as Chancellor of Edith Cowan University from 2019 to 2021 and has held various board-level positions in the private sector.
