A student of noted calligrapher Karl-Erik Forsberg, she co-founded Skrivskolan and later, in 1995, the Kalligrafiska Kretsen. Anckers created Nobeldiploms between 1962 and 1989 and was commissioned by the Skolöverstyrelsen in 1971 to reform handwriting instruction in schools, leading to the creation of the SÖ-style, adopted as the mandatory handwriting style in Swedish schools by 1975.
