She notably retranslated many of Enid Blyton's 'Five Find-Outers' series during the 1970s, aiming to eliminate what she perceived as discriminatory views of Roma people and to adapt English food references for a Swedish audience. While her modernizations received some criticism for going too far, they were initially requested by her publisher. Lennerthson also worked as a translator at SVT and translated 'Babar' into Swedish.
