Kerttu Valo, born Palmu on March 17, 1916, in Espoo, was a Finnish track and field athlete known for her achievements in high jump. She represented Leppävaaran Sisu and made history by winning the first ever women's Finnish Championship in high jump in 1945. Valo also secured bronze medals in 1946 and 1947 and earned three championships from the Workers' Sports Federation in the late 1930s and 1940s. Apart from athletics, she practiced gymnastics and served as an official and judge in athletic competitions after her active career.
