Dr. Ketan Desai is a prominent Indian urologist from Gujarat. He graduated in 1983 and started teaching at B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad. He led the urology department from 2005 until his resignation in 2010. Desai was the president of the Indian Medical Association from 2001 to 2003 and served as the president of the World Medical Association for the year 2016/2017. His career faced controversy when he was removed from his position as the head of the Medical Council of India in 2001 due to corruption allegations.
