Kevin Howard Haberfield is a British former Royal Marine who served from January 1980 to January 2012. He was awarded the George Cross in 2015 for gallantry not in the face of the enemy, specifically for his actions in Afghanistan on 22 November 2005. The award is the highest decoration for such bravery and was backdated to reflect the date of his notable service. Haberfield also served with the Special Boat Service during his military career.
