Kévork Yakoub Zabounian is a Swedish painter, draftsman, and commercial artist born on May 20, 1933, in Alexandria. He is the son of shoemaker Jaboub Zabounian and his wife Marie. After studying at the Zorian Academy in Cairo from 1955 to 1958, he moved to Sweden where he studied at Idun Lovén's Art School and later at Konstfack in Stockholm. He had solo exhibitions in Tyresö and Gävle during the 1960s and contributed illustrations to the magazine Fönstret. His work includes studies of figures in motion and he is represented in Kalmar Art Museum.
