She made significant contributions to Urdu literature, and her novel 'Angan' is regarded as a masterpiece in Urdu literature, which was adapted into a television drama. Her younger sister, Hazra Mastoor, is also a short story writer, while her younger brother, Khalid Ahmed, is a poet, playwright, and newspaper columnist. Khadija passed away on July 25, 1982.
