Khaled Akasheh, born on December 15, 1954, in Karak, Jordan, is a Roman Catholic priest belonging to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and an expert in Islam. He entered the seminary in 1966 and was ordained in 1978. He served as a vicar in Madaba and later taught at the seminary. Since 1994, he has been involved in interreligious dialogue, notably serving as the Secretary of the Commission for Relations with Islam. He has participated in dialogues with Al-Azhar University and efforts to build networks with Muslim partners for the Catholic Church.
