Khalil Ibrahim Mahmoud al-Abwayni (November 26, 1936 - September 13, 2017) was a Jordanian poet born in Kafr Soum near Irbid. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature from the University of Damascus in 1967. He worked as a teacher in Jordan, Libya, and the United Arab Emirates before dedicating himself to poetry. He was a member of the Jordanian Writers' Association and passed away in his hometown. Al-Abwayni authored several poetry collections and articles.
