Khwaja Hasan Sani Nizami was a prominent Sufi Sheikh of the Nizami branch of the Chishti order and served as the head custodian of the shrine of Nizamuddin Auliya. Born on May 15, 1931, he is regarded as one of the most distinguished figures in Urdu literature. He was a member of the United Nations Religious Initiatives based in San Francisco and was the son of Khwaja Hasan Nizami and the disciple of Iqbal Ahmed Khan.
