Kiichi Asano (1914-1993) was a Japanese photographer born in Kyoto. He graduated from Shijo Commercial School in 1930 and began his photography career at Togo Camera in 1933. After serving in the military during World War II, he resumed photography, winning recognition in various salons and contests, including in the UK and Paris. Asano was a member of the Japan Photographers Association and served as vice president of the All-Japan Photographers Federation. His work often focused on scenes and landscapes of Kyoto.
