Kiichirō Kurasaka is a Japanese novelist, critic, haiku poet, and translator, born on January 28, 1960, in Ueno City, Mie Prefecture (now Iga City). He graduated from Ueno High School in Mie and studied at Waseda University's Faculty of Literature. He later attended Waseda University Graduate School, focusing on Japanese literature but did not complete the program. Kurasaka's younger brother is environmental economist Hideshi Kurasaka. His surname is often misspelled as 'Kurasaka' instead of 'Kurasaka'.
