Kim Byung-kwan (born December 12, 1948) is a South Korean military general. After dropping out from Seoul National University, he excelled in and graduated from the Korea Military Academy. He served in the South Korean Army and participated briefly in the Vietnam War in 1973. He later became the Deputy Commander of the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces Command in November 2006 until his retirement in March 2008. In February 2013, he was nominated as the Minister of National Defense but resigned 38 days later.
