Kim LaFave (born 12 January 1955) is a Canadian children's book illustrator and artist known for his impactful work in children's literature. He began his illustration career in media, gaining recognition with his first children's drawings in 'The Mare's Egg' in 1981. Over the years, LaFave contributed to more than 40 children's books and expanded into painting landscapes and boats. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Governor General's Award in 1988, and was part of Eleven Equal Artists during the 2010s.
