Kimio Yabuki is a prominent Japanese animator born on December 6, 1934. He is celebrated in Japan for his contributions to classic animations produced by Toei Animation. His most recognized work internationally is 'Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer' (1985). Yabuki collaborated with the renowned animator Hayao Miyazaki in 1969 on 'Puss in Boots'. Although he was an employee at Toei Animation until 1973, he continued to contribute to several of their projects after going freelance, working on titles like 'Dororon Enma-kun', 'Ikkyu-san', and 'The Kabocha Wine'.
