Kinshi Katsura, born on January 5, 1951, is a prominent Japanese rakugo performer originally named Banzou Tachiiri. He is a member of the Kamigata Rakugo Association and serves as its advisor. His career began under the tutelage of the third generation of Katsura Kobunshi. Known for his past troubles and a brief hiatus from the entertainment industry, he returned to the stage and adopted the name Kinshi. In 2019, he assumed the title of the fourth generation of Katsura Kobunshi. With a passion for the Hanshin Tigers baseball team, he participates actively in regional television and radio programs.
