Kipkalya Kiprono Kones (22 February 1952 – 10 June 2008) was a prominent Kenyan politician who served as a minister during the 1990s and briefly held the position of Minister of Roads in 2008. He was a member of the National Assembly from 1988 to 2008 and was initially elected as a member of the Kenya African National Union (KANU) before switching affiliations multiple times. Kones tragically died in a plane crash while involved in political activities, and his death was mourned nationally.
