Kiriko Kubo is a Japanese female manga artist born on May 21, 1959, in Bunkyo, Tokyo. Her real name is Yukie Fukuzumi. Kubo graduated from the English Literature department at Toyo University. She married a British man who taught English literature at a university in Tokyo and moved to London in 1996, where she currently resides. Kubo is also noted to have a significance in animal fortune-telling as a monkey.
