Kitarō is a Japanese composer and musician, born on February 4, 1953. He gained fame in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly known for his synthesizer music. One of his early works is the album 'Sky', a musical piece consisting of a suite for synthesizer, produced by the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK). Kitarō was also commissioned by NHK to compose the soundtrack for the documentary series 'Silk Road', which narrates cultural projects around the world.
