Kiyohiko G. Nishimura (born March 30, 1953) is a prominent Japanese economist known for his academic contributions and public service. He is an emeritus professor at the University of Tokyo and a special professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. Nishimura served as the Vice Governor of the Bank of Japan and has played a significant role in statistical committees, including being the chairman of the Statistical Commission under the Cabinet Office since February 2014, moving to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications from 2016.
