Aleksandra Kyuregey Arqunova, known as Kjuregej, is a multifaceted artist from Siberia, born on December 12, 1938. Currently residing in Iceland, she is recognized primarily as a folk singer. After losing her parents in childhood, she pursued theatrical education in Moscow and later studied in Spain. Since emigrating to Iceland in 1966, she has worked in various capacities including as an actress, designer, and educator. She released a CD in 2011 and was awarded a special prize at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2012.
