Dr. Klaus Merz, born on October 3, 1945, in Aarau, is a Swiss author from Aargau. He grew up in Menziken and obtained his diploma as a secondary school teacher. He has published various works since 1967, including poetry, novels, short stories, and children’s books. Merz has also written radio plays and scripts for television. Notable works include the dialect poem 'Gägeschtrom' for the project Aargauer Blueschtlääsi. In 2007, a retrospective of his work was held at the Strauhof Literature Museum, and his texts were incorporated into the 2015 film 'Merzluft.'
