Knut Kristian Aase is a Norwegian economist and professor specializing in corporate economic analysis at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Bergen. He earned his master's degree in applied mathematics in 1975 and a PhD in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1979. Aase joined NHH in 1982 and became a professor in 1989. He is known for his work in statistics, probability theory, and econometrics, and has authored a Norwegian textbook on actuarial mathematics.
