Knut Nordby (November 11, 1942 – April 19, 2005) was a Norwegian psychologist known for his insights into achromatopsia, a condition characterized by a lack of color vision. He lived with complete achromatopsia and shared his personal experiences regarding the nature of color perception. Despite acquiring extensive theoretical knowledge about the physics of colors and the physiology of color receptors, he expressed that this knowledge did not help him understand the true nature of colors.
