Knut Prestnes (born May 6, 1949) is a Norwegian local politician and industrial leader. He was the top candidate for the Centre Party in the Kvinnherad municipality during the 2011 local elections, marking his fourth consecutive time. After forming a coalition with the Labour Party, the Liberal Party, and the Progress Party, which the Centre Party did not support, he became an independent municipal representative. Prestnes has served on the municipal council since 1999, and he was also a leading figure in the HMR group, focused on engineering.
