Kō Hosoda (born November 9, 1965) is a Japanese roboticist known for his pioneering work in robotics. He holds a doctorate in engineering from Kyoto University and is a professor at Kyoto University's Graduate School of Engineering. His research includes the development of robotic arms using pneumatic rubber artificial muscles, 3D passive walking, humanoid robots, and soft robotics. He is recognized for creating a baby robot that learns to crawl, hybrid robots with artificial muscles, and the dog-like robot 'PneuHound.' Hosoda has also held important editorial and academic positions in the field.
