Jacobus (Kobus) Algra was a Frisian singer and musician, born on February 22, 1948, in Menaam, and he passed away on March 28, 2014. He was an accordionist and a farmer. Algra co-founded the entertainment orchestra De Wiko's in 1969 along with Wytske Tjoelker and Simon Kromkamp. He was honored as a member of the Order of Oranje-Nassau during the 40th anniversary of De Wiko's in 2010.
