Kōdai Okabe (April 8, 1945 – August 25, 2023) was a Japanese playwright and a member of the Japan Pen Club. He served as an advisor for the Japan Playwrights Association. Okabe was originally from Matsuura City in Nagasaki Prefecture. He graduated from Saga Prefectural Imari High School and later attended Tokai University’s Faculty of Literature, where he studied Public Relations but did not graduate.
