Kōichi Nakamura, born on February 15, 1951, is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter from Hokkaido. He was a member of the band JAYWALK as the vocalist and guitarist, which debuted in 1981 and achieved significant success. After a tumultuous period marked by drug-related legal issues, he shifted focus to volunteer efforts following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Nakamura has since resumed his music career as a solo artist, performing extensively and collaborating with various musicians. He is also set to appear in the upcoming film 'Hajimari no Hi' in 2024.
