Kondwani Chiwina is a retired middle-distance runner from Malawi who specialized in the 800 metres. He discovered his talent for running while a student at Mtendere Secondary School when he ran 11 km to meet a relative. Chiwina represented Malawi at major events, including the 2004 Athens Olympics, where he achieved a personal best of 1:49.87. He retired from competitive sports in 2014 after earning an MSc. in Environmental Management from the University of Kiel, Germany.
