Konstantin Romanovich Chepikov was a Soviet geologist and oil geology specialist, born on December 25, 1900. He graduated from Moscow State University in 1929 and became a Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences. He conducted geological studies for oil exploration in various regions, including Crimea and Siberia. Chepikov served as head of the oil geology laboratory at the Soviet Academy of Sciences and later as deputy director of the Institute of Petroleum. A recipient of several prestigious awards, he passed away on July 24, 1989, and was buried in Moscow.
