Jacobus (Koos) Staat is a Dutch pastor and author born on March 9, 1958, in Barendrecht. He served as a pastor in Munnekezijl, Yerseke, Haarlem, and Rijnsburg between 1983 and 2002. Since July 2002, he has been a part-time pastor in Zunderdorp, while also working with an organization in Amsterdam. From January 22, 2012, he has served in the Gereformeerde Kerk in Andijk. As an author, he is known for writing devotional books for young people, published by Filippus and Barnabas, and contributes to radio broadcasts.
