Kōshō Itō (Kosho Ito), born on January 26, 1932, in Kanazawa, Japan, was a prominent Japanese artist known for his ceramic sculptures using clay as a medium. He served as an honorary visiting professor at Kanazawa College of Art. Since 1972, he established his creative base in Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture. His works have been displayed at various art museums and international exhibitions since the 1970s. His son, Ito Enpei, is also an artist.
