Kōshō Tada (February 27, 1938 - February 2, 2017) was a Japanese scholar of Buddhism and an emeritus professor at Taisho University. He was born in Kanagawa, Japan, and was a monk of the Tendai sect. Tada earned his doctoral degree in Indian philosophy from the University of Tokyo and later became a professor at Taisho University. He retired in 2009, becoming an emeritus professor, and also served as the abbot of the Myōtoku-ji temple. His notable contribution includes works on Tendai Buddhism and East Asian Buddhist rituals.
