Kostiantyn (Kost) Andriivych Malynovskyi (December 25, 1919, Uman, now Cherkasy Oblast — March 30, 2005, Lviv) was a prominent Ukrainian botanist, geobotanist, and ecologist. He earned his Doctor of Biological Sciences in 1969 and became a professor in 1979. In 1995, he was recognized as a full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSH) and was an honorary member of the Ukrainian Botanical Society. Malynovskyi was decorated for his combat service during World War II, receiving various orders and medals, including the Order of the Red Star.
