Kōta Sumi is a former professional baseball player and current baseball executive and coach from Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Born on January 13, 1991, he notably played as an infielder and was a right-handed thrower who batted left-handed. After being drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in 2008, he went on to play for the Saitama Musashi Heat Bears, where he became the team captain and received the Best Nine award. In December 2021, he became the president of the Saitama Musashi Heat Bears.
