He is also known as a wig model and has changed his stage name to Mitsuru Onodera in 1989 to pursue his acting career more seriously. Standing at 172 cm (as of 1994), he is recognized for his bald appearance. In the past, he was involved in directing adult films under his real name, Hirotaro Ishikawa.
