Kotoōshū Katsunori, originally Kaloyan Mahlyanov, is a Bulgarian and Japanese sumo wrestler who competed in Japan from January 2003 to March 2014. He is notable for being the 16th foreign-born rikishi and the first representative from Bulgaria to compete in sumo's top division. Kotoōshū made history on May 24, 2008, by becoming the first European to win the Emperor's Cup. In January 2014, he renounced his Bulgarian citizenship in favor of Japanese nationality and adopted his wife's surname, Ando.
