Kottayam Bhasi, also known as P. Bhaskaran Nair, was a communist political activist who represented the Kottayam constituency in the first Kerala Legislative Assembly. Born on December 25, 1912, he was an active member of the Tirukkkochi Legislative Assembly from 1952 to 1956. Initially supportive of the Congress party, he later joined the Communist Party of India. Bhasi served in various roles including A.I.C.C. member and Kottayam Municipal Councilor, and he was arrested in 1942 for participating in a protest against the British.
