Krijn Torringa was a Dutch television and radio presenter, born on March 24, 1940, in Groningen. He became well-known in the 1970s as a co-host alongside Ad Visser on the music show Toppop, produced by the national broadcaster AVRO. Torringa started his career as a DJ at Radio Veronica in the 1960s and later managed the band RO-D-YS. He eventually returned to the Netherlands in the late 1990s, taking roles at several radio stations and as a stadium announcer. He passed away on August 16, 2006, due to complications from cancer.
