Krishna Sen (Ichhuk) was a notable writer and journalist from Nepal, known for his role as the editor of the pro-Maoist weekly newspaper Janadesh. He was arrested on May 20, 2002, under anti-terrorism laws and allegedly faced torture while in custody, which led to his death. His detention occurred during the Maoist insurgency, and local human rights groups reported that he was held for about a week before dying at the Mahendra Police Club in Kathmandu. His body remains undiscovered, and in his memory, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) established the Krishnasen Online news portal.
