Kürşad Tüzmen is a Turkish politician and state minister born on October 9, 1958, in Ankara. He studied Business Administration at the Middle East Technical University and the University of Illinois. Tüzmen has held various positions within the Turkish government, including State Secretary for Foreign Trade and member of the AKP. He served as a deputy for Gaziantep in the Turkish Grand National Assembly from 2002 to 2007. Tüzmen is also a former member of the Turkish swimming national team and the Turkish National Olympic Committee.
