Kurt-Adolf Thelen (March 9, 1911 – January 17, 1990) was a German singer, composer, and lyricist. He became widely known in the 1950s for his performances of carnival songs such as 'Am Aschermittwoch ist alles vorbei' and drinking songs. In 1954, he achieved a number-one hit in Germany with 'Am 30. Mai ist der Weltuntergang' alongside groups like the Golgowsky Quartet and Will Glahé's orchestra. He also collaborated with Trude Herr on various songs. He was nicknamed the 'Singing Cellar Master.'
